Shizhu Zhai Shuhua Pu (The Ten Bamboo Studio Manual of Calligraphy and Paintings), 8 juan

Compiled and selected by Hu Zhengyan; edited and illustrated by Gaoyang, Ling Yunhan, Wu Shiguan, et al. Nanjing Hushi Shizhu Zhai Edition in the 17th year of the Chongzhen Period (1644), Ming Dynasty. Illustrations printed in 5 colours (including black).

The Shizhu Zhai Shuhua Pu was regarded as the earliest colour painting manuals in China. With the use of the printing techniques of douban (assembled blocks) and gonghua (embossed design), the illustrations appeared as though they were painted by hand.
