Bian Wang Lun was the representative work of Lu Ji, a famous literateur and literary critic in the Western Jin Dynasty. Lu Ji wrote 2 volumes of Bian Wang Lun to reflect on and summarize the causes of the rise and downfall of the kingdom of Dongwu. The manuscript of Bian Wang Lun (Volume I) in the Dunhuang Collections of the NLC is in scroll binding, written on yellow paper with black ink and regular script. It is an important cultural relic of high historical value.
