Thai and Vietnamese
Thai is Tai language of Tai-Kadai language family. Its' alphabet is derived from Mon and Khmer scripts. Vietnamese is Viet-Muong language of Austroasiatic language family. A large proportion of the vocabulary in Vietnamese has been borrowed from Chinese. Both Thai and Vietnamese are tonal language, so that a change in tone alone can change the meaning of a word.
